Chelsea Are Prepared For A Tough Game Against Watford In The FA Cup, Says Mourinho

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that his side will find not it easy against Watford in the third round FA Cup tie.

Chelsea’s opponents find themselves 5th in the Championship and will look to cause an upset. Slavisa Jokanovic’s men have been in good form despite the defeat to Wolves a fortnight ago as they have won four and their last five games and triumphed over Cardiff City in their last match.

Mourinho however remained in defiant mood as his side have already dispatched potential banana skins in the form of Bolton and Derby in the Capital One Cup. The Portuguese said, “It’s a difficult game. It’s a good team, one of the best teams in the Championship.

“We have the experience of the difficulties against teams like Bolton, Derby, teams that we played already this season.

“They have a good team. They are fresh. They didn’t play the New Year fixture.

“They will have big support from their crowd. They will go to try to beat us, so we need to be alert because the game is going to be difficult.”

He also said that his side are not looking at games in terms of the whole competition, but just taking it one step at a time, “It’s impossible to go for one trophy, or two, or three, or four. It’s only possible to go for the next match, and the next match is the FA Cup and we want to try to win the FA Cup, simple as that.

“It’s the next match. It’s the most important match for us. We face the FA Cup to win. Obviously we are going to rest a couple of players, that’s normal, and give a chance to other people to play and to show [what they can do].”

When asked about Brazilian midfielder Ramires’ form, Mourinho said that he is slowly getting back to the player he was last season, “Hopefully Ramires is getting there step by step. Against Tottenham he played 45 minutes. He’s a player we need and he’s a player we haven’t had for the first part of the season. When we had him he was not really ready and finally he looks like he’s almost getting there.”

Would love to win the FA Cup again, says Drogba

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba could start the game against Watford and the Ivorian revealed that he wants to win the trophy again for the fans.

Drogba, who has an exceptional goalscoring record for Chelsea in the competition, said, a We have to do it together. We want to achieve something great and I think that is why we have played well this season,a he said.

a And yes, I would love to win another FA Cup. I would love to win it for the club and for the fans as well.a
