AgA?ero lauds Manchester City for Kevin De Bruyne signing: “I think the club did a great piece of business”

Kevin De Bruyne has taken to the Premier League like a fish to water at the second time of asking, and Manchester City superstar Sergio AgA?ero says he is keen to team up with the Belgian midfielder again, following the final international break of 2015

Manchester City shelled out a club-record A?55 million to secure the 24-year-old’s services from Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, and superstar striker Sergio AgA?ero has hailed the move as a ‘great piece of business’.

The Argentine is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, but is expected to step up his training in the coming week, with the Citizens set to host JA?rgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC after the last international break of the calendar year.

AgA?ero hails ‘great player’ Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgian has racked up an impressive tally of 6 goals and 6 assists in 14 appearances for the club following his move, and AgA?ero has hailed Manchester City for bringing in the playmaker in the summer transfer window.

“Ia m really happy because I think the club did a great piece of business bringing Kevin in and you are always happy when a quality player arrives and he is certainly that,” the Argentine said (via mcfc.co.uk).

“As I say, he is a great player and ita s really important he settles in and shows us what he can do and hea s also a great lad off the field as well so Ia m looking forward to playing alongside him again.”

De Bruyne could be the difference-maker for Manchester City

If there were any doubts over whether he could perform in the more physical Premier League and in an elite squad with world class players like David Silva alongside him, Kevin De Bruyne has emphatically answered them in his first few weeks as a Manchester City player.

The Belgian’s style of play is simple, but extremely effective — his incisive passing, quality set-piece delivery, clinical finishing and willingness to shoot means that the absence of Silva has not caused the harm it might otherwise have, had the Citizens been without a creative force in their midfield. De Bruyne’s ruthless efficiency might just make the difference for City this season, both domestically as well as in the UEFA Champions League.
