Adam Lallana Feels Liverpool FC Are Ready To Scrap Ahead Of Arsenal FC Clash

Liverpool FC midfielder Adam Lallana has sent out a warning to upcoming opponents Arsenal FC, suggesting that the Anfield club are prepared to scrap for glory this season.

Liverpool FC travel to the Emirates on Monday coming off the back of consecutive 1-0 victories over Stoke City and newly promoted side Bournemouth respectively. The Anfield club are currently in 3rd position in the table, with the top 4 level on points.

However, the Reds were far from convincing in their two games, winning the first one courtesy of a Philippe Coutinho special in the 85th minute. In the second match, Bournemouth were undone by two contentious refereeing decisions, one of which was an offside goal by new signing Christian Benteke.

“We dug in and got the three points”- Lallana reflects on the first two games

The England international is quoted by England’s Mail Online as saying:

‘Sometimes you have to win a game 1-0 and this was massively important for us.

‘People asked questions about our mentality and our fighting spirit last week at Stoke. Well, we showed it there and we took it into the Bournemouth game.

.

‘We know there’s room for improvement and we’re working hard in training to achieve that. But I also think it’s important to see this side of us.

‘We dug in and got the three points with another clean sheet a and we’re going to have to scrap for results this year.’

Lallana has been poor in both the opening games and there have been calls from some sections of the Reds’ fan base for the English international to be dropped from the first team. Meanwhile, captain Jordan Henderson is still awaiting results from scans for his foot injury, sustained in the win over Bournemouth.
