After 2 poor seasons in Germany, a Gladbacha s Granit Xhaka has finally hit his stride. He averages 81 passes per game with 87% accuracy. His ferocious left boot and hard tackling prove that he is an all rounded midfielder worthy of any top team, although his discipline (10 yellow and 2 red cards) has often let him down.

In contrast, Bayerna s David Alaba hasna t been booked in the league since August 2011. The versatile Austrian has become a mainstay in the Bayern team with his 92% passing and next to flawless defensive displays.

Should he move elsewhere, the rumoured 60 million transfer fee should be considered insignificant in relation to what he can offer.

Frankfurt hero Alexander Meier may have missed the last quarter of the season through injury, but it didna t prevent him walking away with the top scorer award at the end of the season with 19 goals. The big German is surprisingly lithe in his movement, and he is not one to shy away from a physical duel.

Although Robert Lewandowski hadna t enjoyed the best of starts to life in Bayern colours, he did manage a tremendous run of form after the winter break. Finishing just 2 behind Meier in the goalscorers list, the Pole remains one on the most all-rounded strikers in the modern day game.
