Atletico Madrid have confirmed that they are going to sign Fernando Torres on loan in order to bring back their former captain to the Vicente Calderon. Torres was on a 2 year loan to AC MilanAi??from Chelsea but the transfer was made permanent earlier. However the Spaniard will not play in Italy and will move to Atletico Madrid on a one and half year loan deal.
Torres joined AC Milan on a 2 year loan deal at the start of the current season but it has now been announced that the transferAi??will be made permanent in January 2015.

Fernando Torres started his career at Atletico Madrid and went on to lead the club and make a total of 244 appearances where he scored 91 goals. He then went on to join Liverpool and made a total of 142 appearances for Liverpool where he scored 81 goals. Torres eventually made a record-breaking transferAi??move from Liverpool to Chelsea but failed to live up to his potential and was shipped off to AC Milan following a disappointing season under Jose Mourinho. However Torres now returns to his boy-hood club Atletico Madrid where Diego Simeone will expect to rejuvenate the Spanish striker.
