English champions Man City have joined the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool in the chase of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
Sami Khedira has just returned from injury as he made a substitute appearance in Real Madridai??i??s Champions League game against Liverpool last week but his place in the startinG XI of Los Blancos is no longer guaranteed as coach Carlo Ancelotti has more faith in Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Isco.
Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United are aware of this fact and they are planning a January swoop for the German. It now appears that Man City have also joined the race for the signature of Khedira.

The contract of Sami Khedira at Real Madrid is set to expire in the summer of 2015, meaning that the German would be available for free in July. And Real Madrid have failed to conclude the talks of extension of his contract with Khedira yet. If no extension is signed till December of this year, Real Madrid management will decide to sale Khedira in the winter transfer window.
Manchester United are currently the favorites for the signature of Khedira but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is also keeping a close eye on the situation of the player. Chelsea and Liverpool are also interested in Khedira but they have not made their interest concrete yet.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pelligrini is a big admirer of Khediraai??i??s work ethic and he wants to sign the German as a long term replacement of Yaya Toure, whose future is uncertain at the club.
However, in spite of this ongoing controversy over the future of Khedira, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti had claimed last week that the player will extend his stay at Santiago Bernabeu side. “We have until June to reach an agreement with him. If he wants to sign an extension, the club will renew him. If not, he will leave the team at the end of the season,” Ancelotti said.
