Chelsea are in talks with QPR to sign Loic Remy after loaning out Fernando Torres to AC Milan.
Chelsea are left with only Diego Costa and Didier Drogba as specialist strikers after the departure of Fernando Torres and manager Jose Mourinho wants to sign Remy as deputy of the Spaniard. Mattio Destro of AS Roma was the preferred candidate of Mourinho to replace Torres but the Italian club has refused to sale the player and as a result, Chelsea management had to turn their attentions elsewhere.

Fernando Torres, who moved to Chelsea for A?50m, joined AC Milan for 2 year long loan yesterday. And the player is not expected to play for Chelsea again as he has only 2 years left to contract. Liverpool were the early favorites for the signature of Loic Remy and the player even had a medical for the Reds. However, Remy failed in a medical test and Liverpool refused to sign the player. But Chelsea are determined to push ahead with a move for the Frenchman and they hope to complete his signing before 1st September.
Newly promoted side Queens Park Rangers are determined to hold to their star striker but the player himself has set his heart on a move to a bigger club and it would be impossible for the management of the club to hold on to him if a club like Chelsea comes calling.
Meanwhile, Marco van Ginkel is on verge of joining Fernando Torres at AC Milan as Chelsea management has told the player that they have no place for him in their squad.
