Although a draw against 10 men Chennaiyin would irritate some of the Kolkata fans, a point was enough for the Sourav Ganguly franchisee to maintain their position at the top of the league.
Subhasish Roy Chowdhury, is expected to replace Edel, as the Kolkata side would be looking to field more foreigners in the outfield ten. Subhasish has been one of the standout keepers in the Super League, and has kept Kolkata in matches where they’ve failed to establish their supremacy.
The solid center back pairing of Arnab Mondal and Josemi is again expect to take to the pitch, as both have quiet easily nullified the big guns of the Super League.With Denzil Franco out, Kinghshuk is expected to fill in for Franco, however Kingshuk has showcased signs of complacency moreso than his mistimed tackle of Valencia Mendoza, which earned Chennaiyin a penalty.
Borja and Nato would dominate proceeding in the midfield, and operate in a double pivot while providing defensive covering to Josemi and Arnab Mondal. Ai??The attacking trio of Jofre, Luis Garcia and Baljit Sahni is expected to line up behind Mohammed Rafi. Arindam is once again expected to start in Pune goal, as he displayed his solid topnotch form against NorthEast United. Bruno Cirillo and Magllocchetti are expected to comprise the all Italian center back pairing, while Pritam Kotal and Sarkar would provide width in the form of wingbacks.
Kostas and Lenny Rodrigues are expected to sit in the midfield and govern play. Kostas, has been one of the standout performers for the FC Pune City franchisee and would be looking to dictate play, with Lenny covering up for the space that he vacates. Davide Colomba, who had a pretty good outing against NorthEast United is expected to ply his trade along the left wing and threaten Kingshuk, while Israil Gurung is expected to start on the right and capitalize on his speed and trickery.
