Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has arrived in Italy for his medical, as his move to Juventus nears its completion.
It was reported on few hours back that Juventus and Manchester City have agreed a fee, believed to be around A?10 million, for the 29-year-old striker Carlos Tevez. The Argentine internationalai??i??s future at the Etihad Stadium has been up for speculations all throughout this summer. City were expected to make a major overhaul to the squad after disappointing campaign last time around and Tevez, along with few other big names, were expected to make way for the new arrivals.
The Argentine international has scored 73 goals in his 138 appearances for the club, hence he didnai??i??t have any shortage of suitors. The former Manchester United forward was linked with AC Milan, who showed interest in him last summer as well, and Juventus. Earlier today, reports from Italy suggested that Juventus have finally reached an agreementAi?? and sporting director Beppe Marotta confirmed the deal.

Tevez is expected to sign a three-year contract after he completes his medical. He was spotted at the Milan Malpensa international airport few hours back, where he was greeted by the fans and club officials. The deal could be made official by tomorrow.
At such a bargain price Tevez could very well turn out to be the signing of the season. He is a proven goal scorer and has made impact wherever he has played in his career so far. While at times he might be involved in unwanted off-the-field antics, but his work ethic and dedication on the pitch can never be doubted.
Tevez fits the bill perfectly for Juve. He can play alongside Llorente and has work rate suited to Conte’s system. He also has prior experience of winning Champiosn League and played an important role in that triumph. This is a financially solid move and should Conte manage to keep Tevez’s infamous tantrum in check then he may prove to be for Juventus what Eto’o was to Inter
Juventus already had a strong squad from last season and the striking department was perhaps the only weakness in the squad. With Tevez and Fernando Llorente set to arrive at Turin, it looks like they now have more than enough fire power upfront, to go along with their excellent midfield and defence. It looks like Juventus are in a position to not only dominate the league next season, but in all likelihood they will make an impact in Europe as well. Juventus have made a big statement of intent, it is now time for their rivals to make theirs, or the Serie A can become a one-horse race next season.
