Dempo SC Skipper Climax Lawrence‘s future was in doubt as he entered the fag end of his career. Former India skipper had retired from International football earlier and with Armando Colaco departing from Dempo’s ranks, there was uncertainty surrounding their talisman. It is believed that, new coach Arthur Papas has also identified a crucial role for the veteran midfielder. With Dempo in transition phase, Papas has decided to offer an extension to Climax to ease the players into new era. Sources in Goa has confirmed to us that, the offer is tabled already and they are likely to sign the deal in upcoming days.

East Bengal skipper Sanju Pradhan has been with the Red and Gold brigadeAi??for last five years. Even though he was the skipper last season, Sikkimese lad wasn’t a regular in East Bengal starting line-up. Sanju believes that his limited playing time with East Bengal is the reason behind getting dropped from Indian Football Team. Hence he is currently looking for a place where he will find regular playing time to knock on national team doors. He is also studying more about the IPL styled league as part of considering his options. 128. Indian winger Anthony Pereira in talks with East Bengal FC.
After getting the release from Dempo SC, winger Anthony Pereira is considering a move to Kolkata giants East Bengal. Indian International had a season to forget in Dempo’s disappointing campaign last season and as a result he didn’t get a contract extension. After the release from Dempo, it is rumoured that the winger is in negotiations with East Bengal over a possible move. Kolkata giants are looking for a replacement for their exit bound skipper Sanju Pradhan and Anthony Pereira will be an ideal replacement. Anthony is comfortable playing on both the wings even though he prefers the right wing role and will be a good addition to East Bengal.
