Juventus make bid for Van Persie
Yet again the biggest transfer rumours involve Robin Van Persie, as Juventus have apparently bid a derogatory 10 million Euros for the Arsenal star according to reports. The bid however has failed reportedly and Juventus are expected to come back with a better offer.

Robin Van Persie is the toast of the window, as the Italian giants Juventus have bid 10 million euros for the striker. The figure quoted is absolutely disrespectful to the player and club though. Robin van Persie’s agent has clearly ruled out a move to Italy calling the Serie A as “3rd rate” and stated that the Dutchman would not move there at this stage of his career. Juventus are however, expected to bid again, but it’s unlikely that they would sign the player.

Sigurdsson opts for Tottenham?
Gylfi Sigurdsson has apparently made a choice between Merseyside and North London, if stories in the Express are to be believed. The daily claims that the Icelander has chosen Tottenham as his destination forAi??A?6.8 million.

Gylfi Sigurdsson was supposed to make a decision over a move in the past 24 hours, and it appears that the midfielder is heading to White Hart Lane. The Swansea man, has had his future in the balance throughout the summer. With Daniel Levy having met the player and discussed terms the Spurs look to be in pole position to land their man. A twist in the tale can never be ruled out, but this has a fair amount of fire behind the smoke.

Hugo Lloris being chased by Arsenal
Reports from various sources claim that Arsenal are interested in the French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who also captains the national side. Arsene Wenger is considered to admire him, and a bid is expected.
THT Verdict:Unlikely
Arsenal are linked with a whole host of players left, right and centre. With comments from the Lyon president, that Lloris could be available for the right price, it appears the media have joined the dots to come up with this story. Arsenal already have a 21 year old goalkeeping prodigy in Szczesny, so it’s difficult to see Arsene Wenger halting his progress by bringing in a 25 year old keeper. Neither of the two would want to be backup, thus not making much sense.

Spanish paper AS started the story, and now Mirror report that Real Madrid’s move to sign Luka Modric may have hit a stumbling block after Nuri Sahin refused to be part of a swap deal. Real Madrid may now look at other options.

Luka Modric has no shortage of admirers, but Madrid appeared to be in pole position for the Croatian. But, a player plus cash deal involving Nuri Sahin appears to have fallen apart, as the former Dortmund player has denied to move. Real Madrid have claimed that Modric’s price might be too much for them, thus a straight cash deal looks out of the picture. This is going to be one long saga, no matter where he ends up.

Sensationalism has hit a new high with stories linking England defender John Terry with a move to the French capital. The price quoted is 8 million GBP, though a bid is yet to be submitted for the Chelsea captain.
THT Verdict: Highly Unlikely
This is surely the funniest transfer rumour of the summer, but it could develop into some story if PSG are genuinely interested. John Terry is happy in West London, after recently winning the Champions League and would hope to repeat the heroics in a Chelsea shirt next season too. Teaming up with former boss Ancelotti looks unlikely at the moment, but we should not forget, everyone has a price.
