The Dutch midfielder wants to join the Red Devils instead of Chelsea if he leaves Barcelona in the summer transfer window as he wishes to reunite with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
Frenkie de Jong has been involved in one of the most captivating transfer sagas of the summer. While the 25-year-old is keen on remaining at Camp Nou, Barcelona would like to cash in on him amid their ongoing financial distress, even though they are striving to activate two economic levers to ease their problems.
The Dutch midfielder has made nearly 150 appearances thus far for Barcelona, chipping in with 12 goals and 17 assists.
