Thibaut Courtois has finally completed his desired move to Real Madrid, leaving Chelsea after four seasons of Premier League football.
The move was already expected after Chelsea signed Kepa Arrizabalaga in a world-record deal. Thibaut Courtois is now officially a Real Madrid player, with Mateo Kovacic joining the Blues on a season-long loan.
The Chelsea fans were not happy with the economics of the deal, especially with there being no buyout clause in the loan deal for Mateo Kovacic. Others trolled Chelsea for the same.
No offense to Chelsea fans, but Madrid signing Courtois for €35m and then loaning you Kovačić without an option to buy has got to be one of the worst trading deals in the history of trade deals.

Perez relationship with Chelsea so far:
– Convinced them to pay 70m€ for Morata.
– Got Courtois from them for 35m€.
– Forced them to pay 80m€ for Kepa.
– Gave them Kovacic for a one season loan without a purchase option.I genuinely feel bad for them ??

Chelsea might not be awful after all. They gave us Courtois for 30m and now they’re adopting Kovacic for a year where he can be a better player for us after.

Chelsea fans were pretty much depressed yesterday but because the replaced Courtois with a worse GK and got Kovacic on loan suddenly they think they can win the league. #PL #MUFC #CFC

Madrid getting Courtois for €35m, then giving no option to buy for Kovacic. pic.twitter.com/iIIzs149kC

So, you’re telling me Chelsea are selling Courtois for about half what his value should be and are developing Kovacic for Real Madrid and paying hefty wages for him pic.twitter.com/pMuRQmai5d

Selling Courtois, getting Kovacic on loan and paying £71 million for a keeper who has as much pedigree as pedigree chum is a massive L

Real Madrid bought Courtois for €35m & loaned them Kovacic without an option to buy. Madrid slapped them left & right. ? ?

Chelsea paying 80M for Kepa (1992) and Madrid taking Courtois (1994) for 35M while giving minutes to Kovacic, who they will not be able to buy after the loan.

Kepa Arrizabalaga – in goal 53 times at senior level. Chelsea bought for £71mil.
Thibaut Courtois sold for £35mil to Real Madrid. pic.twitter.com/xXnqwuIql8

No option to buy doesn’t mean we can’t buy him next summer.
It does mean he will need to push for the move though. If he enjoys his season and fits in, then it’s absolutely possible Chelsea will negotiate a sale with Real Madrid next year.

No permanent option in Kovacic deal, so Chelsea are just developing players for Real Madrid while Loftus-Cheek and co sit on the sidelines ?

Football and hypocrisy
Chelsea pushed out Cech, the greatest goalkeeper in their history, a man who gave them nine solid years of success, for a 22-year-old Thibaut Courtois but it wasn’t wrong. Now Real Madrid sign a proven Courtois, who just won best GK at WC & it is genocide

Chelsea could’ve sold Courtois for over £70m last year. They’re selling him for 35m. Now forced to panic-buy an unproved Spanish kid for World Record £72m, with 24 hrs left in the transfer window.
Real Madrid’s interest in David De Gea officially over!!!
Tearsssss!!!!!!

No future fee in Kovacic deal. So you’re telling me Chelsea are basically developing Kovacic for a year so Madrid either get a better player or can sell him with a bidding war next summer AND they’ve signed their keeper for like £30m. Elite business from Madrid.
