Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic remains a key target for Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
A recent report from 90min has offered a detailed report on the future of Dusan Vlahovic. The Fiorentina forward has been highly linked with a move to Juventus next summer. However, it appears a move to Premier League is still a possibility for the striker, whose agents were in England this month, to assure suitors that the player has not agreed to join the Bianconeri.
On the contrary, Fiorentina have no intention of selling their star player to Juventus and are exploring the option of a potential sale to a Premier League club. The likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are keeping close tabs on this situation and are prepared to rival Juventus in the race to sign the Serbian international.
Chelsea, in particular, have proved to be a massive thorn in the side for the Italian giants. If midweek’s 4-0 battering in the Champions League wasn’t enough, the Blues are apparently interested in Juve’s superstar Federico Chiesa. They are even reportedly weighing up an £84 million bid in an attempt to lure the Italian to West London.
In addition to Chiesa, it appears Chelsea are now also exploring the possibility of a potential move for Vlahovic. The Serb could be an excellent strike partner for Romelu Lukaku and the perfect replacement for Timo Werner, who has been linked with a January move to Barcelona, among many other clubs across Europe.
Chelsea, though, are set to face stiff competition from Liverpool in the pursuit of Vlahovic. The Reds are in the market for a new forward for next season – someone that can offer competition to Roberto Firmino.
With 31 league goals since the start of the 2020/21 campaign, Vlahovic’s impeccable scoring record in Serie A makes him an appealing target for Jurgen Klopp. In addition to Chelsea and Liverpool, the Serb’s scoring prowess has even attracted the attention of Arsenal.
Although the Gunners may not provide the same sporting prospects as their rivals, they may return to the European scene next season. More importantly, they are likely to consider Vlahovic as the direct replacement for not only Alexandre Lacazette but also Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, meaning the 21-year-old should have no difficulties in gaining regular game-time.
Vlahovic, therefore, has no shortage of suitors, should he opt to reject the advances of Juventus. And with the World Cup just around the corner, it won’t be surprising to see the youngster ending up in the Premier League in the near future and become Serbia’s undisputed number nine in Qatar.
