Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Bryan Gil once again and are weighing up a move for the 20-year-old Tottenham attacker.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Bryan Gil is once again the subject of interest from Real Madrid over a move in a future transfer window. The 20-year-old Tottenham forward has been closely monitored by the Spanish giants in the ongoing international break.
Bryan spent the best part of his formative years with Sevilla, after joining the Andalusian club from Barbate CF in 2012. However, while he did turn out 21 times for Los Nervionenses, the youngster could never really establish a foothold in the first-team setup at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium and instead impressed on loan at Eibar last season.
This past summer, his time at Sevilla came to an end as he joined Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur. And Gil has so far made a slow start to life in north London, with just a solitary assist in nine appearances across all competitions. However, the 20-year-old has not seen his stock fall by much, as illustrated by the interest from Real Madrid.
Real Madrid had been heavily linked with Gil for a long time in the summer transfer window before he ended up joining Tottenham instead. However, Los Blancos have not ended their interest in the Spanish attacker, having also scouted him during the ongoing international break.
Unfortunately for Real Madrid, Gil barely played for Spain in their two UEFA Nations League ties, and might not have been able to scout him properly. Nevertheless, the continued interest in the 20-year-old does make a lot of sense amid the uncertainty surrounding Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale.
So, while Kylian Mbappe is the priority target for the Merengues, they could do with another attacking addition if each of the three aforementioned forwards are offloaded in the summer transfer window. With that in mind, Gil is a viable target for Real Madrid.
Apart from the Tottenham attacker, Real Madrid have also been linked with Mikel Oyarzabal, Riyad Mahrez and Yeremi Pino, among others. What now remains to be seen is if the Spanish giants do launch the offensive for Gil and if he is even open to leaving the Premier League outfit after only joining them in the summer.
