Crystal Palace have reportedly made an enquiry for Amad Diallo, who is expected to be loaned out by Manchester United late this summer.
According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the race to sign Amad Diallo before the summer transfer window slams shut is heating up by the day. The Manchester United prodigy is the subject of interest from Crystal Palace as well as Sheffield United, with several other clubs showing an interest in him.
Amad Diallo was signed by Manchester United from Atalanta last summer, although it was only in January of this year that he finally arrived at Old Trafford. So far, though, the 19-year-old has not featured a whole lot for the Red Devils, managing just eight appearances wherein he has raked in a tally of a goal and an assist apiece.
This summer, the arrival of Jadon Sancho is likely to push Amad further down to pecking order, which is why a loan move could prove to be quite beneficial for him to say the least. The teenage prodigy from Ivory Coast does not seem to have any shortage of suitors either, with Crystal Palace and Sheffield United among those who are hot on his trails.
Amad, though, has no interest in playing in the Championship in the coming season, effectively ruling Sheffield United out of contention to sign him. This brings Crystal Palace into the spotlight as far making a move for the Manchester United prodigy is concerned.
The Eagles are indeed believed to be in the market for a wide forward this summer after choosing to let go of Andros Townsend. With Wilfried Zaha largely utilised through the middle nowadays, it is clear that signing a wide attacker will be a prudent move for Crystal Palace, with Amad Diallo a viable target.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace have submitted an enquiry for the teenage prodigy, who is eager to play in the Premier League in the coming season. Romano has also added that there are several other clubs tailing him, with Manchester United yet to take a final call on him.
For now, it looks like Amad Diallo is racking up quite a lot of interest in him, with Crystal Palace in the driver’s seat to secure his services. A loan move away from Manchester United appears to be just what the 19-year-old needs and it remains to be seen if he joins a fellow Premier League club or if he is sent out abroad, with Atalanta reportedly interested as well.
