The tug-of-war between Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea FC is set to conclude by the end of the week, with the Atl tico Madrid midfieldera s agent confirming his client will choose his destination in the coming days
.
Turkish midfielder Arda Turana s future increasingly looks destined to be in the Premier League despite conflicting reports about the identity of the club that is in pole position for his signature. What appears certain though, is that Chelsea FC and Manchester United are the 28-year-olda s two most likely destinations.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier in the week that Manchester United were ready to match Turana s release clause of around a 41 million, and were ahead in the race for his signature with a four-year contract being prepared.
Yesterday, Turkish sports presenter Ersin DA?zen claimed on TRT Spor a a Turkish television channel a that United had won the race for Turana s signature and that the Atl ti midfielder was set for a medical with Louis van Gaala s side.
The Turkish internationala s agent Ahmet Bulut, however, has since denied those reports, saying, a Arda has not met with Manchester United or passed a medical when you find out who his new team are on Friday you will all agree that we made the right choice.a
Bulut is also quoted by Turkish media outlet NTV Spor as saying, a We will not make a formal announcement until he signs. Arda will decide where he wants to play next season in the next four daysa .
However, reports emerging in the past few hours have indicated that Chelsea FC are now favourites for his signature. Englanda s Mail Online have claimed that Arda Turan has chosen the London club as his next destination, with the opportunity to work with Jos Mourinho cited as a major factor.

If Turan were to move to the London capital, he would be re-united with former Atl tico Madrid team-mates Thibaut Courtois, Diego Costa, Filipe Lu s as well as Radamel Falcao, who is believed to have all but completed his move to Chelsea FC.
This transfer story, thankfully, will not be a saga, and a resolution is expected by the end of the week. Either way, it seems as though the English Premier League will be ready to welcome yet another extremely talented footballer to its ranks.
