Tottenham will not sell James Maddison, Conor Gallagher, Archie Gray even if they get relegated

Multiple Tottenham players have been linked with a summer move away from the club, but they want to keep James Maddison, Conor Gallagher, and Archie Gray.

Tottenham Hotspur are currently fighting for survival in the Premier League, and they are in the bottom three. A club of their stature should be doing a lot better, and nobody would have expected them to be in this position at the start of the season.

Spurs came into the season on the back of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa League triumph. The North London outfit had appointed Thomas Frank as their manager, and they were expected to deliver a successful season. However, things have not gone according to plan, and they are fighting for survival in the top flight, and Roberto De Zerbi has been tasked to mount a rescue operation.

However, a report from TEAMtalk has claimed that Tottenham will not sell key players like James Maddison, Conor Gallagher, and Archie Gray, even if they go down at the end of the season. They view the midfield trio as “untouchable”.

Almost every top Tottenham player has been linked with a move away from the North London club, with Gray recently emerging as a target for Liverpool. However, Tottenham simply cannot afford to lose players like Maddison, Gallagher, and Gray.

The Lilywhites are looking to build a team capable of competing at the highest level regularly and fighting for trophies. All three players will be crucial to their plans going forward. It could be difficult for them to convince top stars to stay at the club if they go down, but the players have long-term contracts with Tottenham, and the North London club is unwilling to let them leave.

Can Spurs survive the drop?

It remains to be seen whether they can improve their performance levels in the coming weeks and secure safety in the Premier League. They have brought in a new manager and hope Roberto De Zerbi can help turn things around. The Italian tactician suffered a defeat in his first game as the Tottenham manager against Sunderland.

Tottenham have quality players at their disposal, but Thomas Frank and Igor Tudor failed to get the best out of them. The Italian tactician will be expected to get his team firing on all cylinders. Players like Maddison, Gray and Gallagher will want to compete at the highest level regularly. They will not want to go down to the Championship at the end of the season.
