Yan Diomande will decide his future after the World Cup

Yan Diomande is focused on the World Cup ahead, as he could decide on his future beyond the summer tournament.

According to Team Talk, Yan Diomande’s future could be decided after the World Cup, with the winger focused on his task with the Ivory Coast. Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are keen to bring the winger to the Premier League, with RB Leipzig set to demand at least €100 million.

Yan Diomande is widely expected to ensue a big transfer battle in the background as many of the top Premier League teams are vying for his signature. The Ivorian winger has made a huge impact since his summer move to RB Leipzig from Leganés, with the attacker producing 11 goals and 8 assists across all competitions this term.

It is only natural to see a host of top Premier League clubs being linked with a move ahead of the summer, as his performances have certainly warranted that. Arsenal and Manchester United are among those who have monitored Diomande extensively, with both teams seeking a new wide attacker in the summer.

Liverpool are prioritising a move for Diomande, as they view him as one of the replacement options for the iconic Mohamed Salah. The latter is set to depart at the end of the season, which incidentally makes the need for a new winger imperative — something RB Leipzig will be well aware of if the Merseysiders come knocking on their door.

Leipzig are currently relaxed about his situation, as they are preparing a new deal for Diomande to further strengthen their negotiating position. As it stands, they are demanding at least €100 million for the attacker, which is designed to ward off suitors, but the Premier League sides could invest a nine-figure sum to sign the Ivorian attacker.

Yan Diomande to leave RB Leipzig?

Leipzig are relaxed, and so is Diomande himself, as he is not showing any urgency in deciding on his future. In fact, the winger is focused on ending the season strongly in Germany before turning his attention to the Ivory Coast for the World Cup.

Diomande has reportedly made up his mind to decide his future only after the World Cup, which could force the Premier League teams to wait. There are others in the mix, but the asking price from Leipzig will ensure that the Premier League teams are the ones most capable of signing the Ivorian attacker.
