Bayern Munich are preparing a €100 million offer as they look to beat Manchester United and Real Madrid to the signature of Cole Palmer.
Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all keen on acquiring the services of Cole Palmer, who is frustrated with the direction in which Chelsea’s project is heading. He is ready to push for an exit this summer, and according to a report from Fichajes, the German giants are eyeing a €100 million summer move for the English international, as they look to beat United and Madrid in the race.
Palmer came up the ranks at Manchester City. On his way up, he was regarded as an exciting young prospect, but since Pep Guardiola already had a star-studded squad, he couldn’t guarantee the 23-year-old regular minutes.
As a result, he ended up joining Chelsea in the summer of 2023. The English international has taken his game to the next level since joining the Blues. He has featured in a variety of positions and excelled in all of them. Over the years, he has featured in 122 matches for the London club and has contributed towards 85 goals (53 goals, 32 assists).
Despite struggling with injuries, Palmer has 13 goal contributions in his 25 outings this term. On a personal level, he has been in sensational form since moving to Stamford Bridge. However, the club’s performances haven’t been that great.
Palmer is not pleased with the direction in which the project is heading. If they fail to secure Champions League football for next season, he could end up pushing for an exit. Clubs like Bayern, Real Madrid and United are all aware of his situation and keeping a close eye on it.
Signing Palmer will require a massive financial offer
They would pounce on any opportunity to sign the 23-year-old. He could completely transform the attack of all three teams. However, securing his services won’t be easy, as his contract runs until 2033 and the Blues value him at around €170 million.
If Palmer ends up pushing for a move, Chelsea might have to consider offers, but they will still want a significant fee. Bayern are preparing an initial offer of €100 million to kick-start negotiations. They feel such a massive investment makes sense given his market value is around €110 million.
United have a long-standing interest in him, while Real Madrid are always after the best players. Despite interest from the two European giants, Bayern are looking to get ahead in the race with the initial offer. The player reportedly earns €10 million per year (including bonuses), so the wages shouldn’t be a problem for the German club.
