Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the PSG attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the summer transfer window.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has settled in well since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli, and he has been exceptional for them. The player has 11 goals and seven assists this season. There is no doubt that the 25-year-old is a top-class player, and he would be an excellent addition for both English clubs.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Liverpool have made enquiries to sign Kvaratskhelia. However, they have been informed that the player is well settled at PSG and that he is not looking for a move in the summer.
Liverpool need a Salah replacement
Liverpool are in desperate need of a quality winger. Mohamed Salah has announced that he will leave the Merseyside club in the summer, and they need to replace him properly. The Egyptian international has registered 377 goal contributions in 435 appearances for them since joining in 2017 from AS Roma.
Replacing a club legend like him will be a massive challenge for Liverpool, and it is no surprise that they are looking at players like Kvaratskhelia. Kvaratskhelia is undoubtedly one of the best players in his position in the world right now.
At 25, he is at the peak of his power, and this is the right time to secure his signature. However, the former Napoli attacker is already playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and he recently won the league title and the UEFA Champions League. He has no reason to leave PSG.
Arsenal could use Kvaratskhelia
On the other hand, Arsenal need more quality on the flanks as well. Noni Madueke was signed last summer, but the former Chelsea player has been quite poor in terms of end product. The 23-year-old has two goals and an assist to his name in the Premier League. He has played just 900 minutes in the Premier League, and it is clear that Arsenal do not trust him explicitly.
Eberechi Eze has not been at his best either. The Englishman has clocked just over 1500 minutes in the league and has returned six goals and two assists. Arsenal need more productivity from the flanks, and it is understandable that they are keen on Kvaratskhelia.
However, having suffered a blow in their pursuit of Kvaratskhelia, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal and Liverpool move on to other targets now.
