Liverpool eyeing Francisco Conceicao as Mohamed Salah replacement

Liverpool are interested in signing Juventus winger Francisco Conceicao as a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

While Mohamed Salah recently confirmed that he will be leaving Liverpool after the end of the season, the Reds already saw it coming and have been planning for life without him for some time now. They have been looking at a number of options to replace him, and Juventus’ Francisco Conceicao is a part of that shortlist.

According to a report from SportsBoom, the Reds are interested in signing the Portuguese international, as they feel he has all the qualities to help them cope with the departure of one of their all-time greats.

Following an impressive rise at FC Porto, Conceicao made the move to Juventus in the summer of 2024. While he initially joined them on a season-long loan, the move became permanent last summer on the back of his impressive performances.

The 23-year-old has 13 goal contributions in his 40 outings last season, and he has carried that form in the 2025/26 season. While he only has seven goal contributions, his overall performances have impressed people at the club as well as those in the stands.

He prefers playing as a right-winger, but is capable enough to feature in a variety of roles in the final third. The Portuguese international has massive potential, and since he will only get better with time, Liverpool could make a massive investment to secure his services.

Liverpool have their eyes on Conceicao

He is considered one of Juventus’ most astute and strategic investments in the recent past, and they could end up making a fortune from him this summer. His explosive pace, agility in tight spaces, and his effectiveness in 1v1 situations have placed him on the radar of the Merseyside club.

The Reds are looking for an ideal long-term replacement for Salah, and they feel Conceicao has all the qualities needed. Their scouts were in the stands to watch the 23-year-old in action against AS Roma, Pisa, and Udinese.

They are quite impressed with his overall performance. For now, they will continue to monitor him, but could end up making a move this summer. Juventus consider him an integral part of their long-term plans, and with his contract running until 2030, they will be in the driving seat during negotiations. The Old Lady will only begin negotiations for around €60–€65 million.
