Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are the latest teams to keep close tabs on Ben White’s situation at Arsenal ahead of the summer.
According to Team Talk, Ben White could attract considerable interest from some of the big Premier League teams as an exit from Arsenal might become a possibility. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are the teams keeping close tabs on the defender’s situation at the Emirates ahead of the summer.
Ben White has been a huge part of Arsenal’s success over the last few years, as Mikel Arteta continues to consider him a key part of his plans. The defender, who can play centrally or as a right back, has suffered from multiple fitness issues over the past 18 months, which have stalled his development into an undisputed starter for the Gunners.
The emergence of Jurrien Timber as the starter at right back for Arsenal has further decreased Ben White’s game time. There are concerns that the English defender will want to keep playing regularly, which might lead to his exit, as Everton had been linked to him recently.
Stories from recent weeks had suggested Arsenal might seek at least £30 million to sell Ben White, as a defender of his experience will be of good use to a lot of the top teams, let alone Everton. Arsenal have already considered the likes of Vanderson as his replacement option, while others such as Michael Kayode, Valentino Livramento and Ivan Fresneda have all been linked at some point.
As for Ben White, there is growing interest in the background as the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping close tabs on his situation. Each of those teams are in the market for a new right back, but there are doubts whether Arsenal will want to sell their versatile defender to any of those clubs, given they are all considered direct rivals.
Ben White to leave Arsenal?
There is a real possibility that Ben White might leave Arsenal, with Liverpool, Chelsea, or Manchester United potentially being considered by the defender. Liverpool, in particular, have been keen on bolstering their backline with a versatile defender, as Ben White could be deemed a direct replacement for Joe Gomez, while they also seek an experienced star at right-back.
Chelsea might be a somewhat similar situation to Arsenal, as Reece James is their starting right back, while there are doubts over whether the Gunners would want to sell a player directly to them. Manchester United might be viewed in a similar light, as they are far closer than Chelsea to challenging Arsenal for the league title next season.
