Tottenham will not want to lose an elite talent like him easily, and it will be difficult for Liverpool to negotiate the deal.
It is no secret that they need more quality and depth in the defensive unit. Ibrahima Konate will be a free agent in the summer, and Joe Gomez is expected to move on in search of regular game time as well. They need to replace the two players, and signing one of the best young defenders in Europe right now would be a step in the right direction.
