Tottenham panicking as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund chase Luka Vuskovic

Tottenham are reportedly panicking over the future of young defensive talent Luka Vuskovic amid mounting interest.

According to Team Talk, Tottenham are concerned about their chances of retaining 19-year-old prodigy Luka Vuskovic amid mounting interest. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are ready to make their moves for the young Croatian centre-back, while more clubs are keeping close tabs on his situation amid Spurs’ relegation fears.

Relegation could be a major factor in determining the futures of many key first-team stars at Tottenham. Following the loss to Nottingham Forest at home on Sunday, the odds are steadily shifting towards Spurs suffering demotion to the Championship, which may open the door for interested clubs to make a move for some key stars.

Luka Vuskovic has been one of the much-discussed topics over at Tottenham, with the club now worried over their ability to keep hold of the young defender. Spurs’ 19-year-old prodigy is already attracting significant interest, with the likes of Barcelona eager to open talks and explore a potential move.

However, the main interest may be coming from Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, with Tottenham now in a state of panic with regards to Vuskovic. Having made his mark with Hamburger on loan, the young Croatian star has proved he can play at the very top level, which has attracted the Bundesliga giants towards considering a move.

If Spurs were to suffer relegation, Vuskovic might push for an exit, and the north Londoners may not be able to prevent his departure. Tottenham are still protected by a contract until 2030, which may see them demand a significant fee, although their asking price remains unclear at this point.

Luka Vuskovic set for Bundesliga stay?

Bayern Munich will move for Vuskovic if they can sell Kim Min-jae, as Vincent Kompany is eager to add a new defender who can challenge the current starting order. They may also have a big enough appeal to lure the Croatian star, while his comfort level in the Bundesliga could make the possibility of staying in Germany an attractive one.

Borussia Dortmund are also formulating a plan to open negotiations with Tottenham, as they could potentially offer Vuskovic a more prominent role compared to what Bayern Munich might. There is the potential for talks between those clubs and Spurs over the 19-year-old Croatian defender, as he could push for an exit if the north Londoners suffer relegation.
