Atletico Madrid attentive to Myles Lewis-Skelly’s situation at Arsenal, with €50 Million valuation mentioned.
According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are looking closely at Myles Lewis-Skelly ahead of the summer. The Spanish giants could make enquiries for the full-back, with a €50 million price point mentioned in the report.
Lewis-Skelly had a breakthrough campaign in 2024-25, when Mikel Arteta fast-tracked his role as a first-team member owing to some injuries in the squad. The academy graduate was instrumental in their run to the Champions League semi-finals and helped the team finish second in the league.
However, in the new campaign, Arteta has marginalised his minutes, with the academy star only enjoying occasional starts and cameos off the bench. The arrival of Piero Hincapié in the summer may have curtailed his role, with the manager preferring to use him and Riccardo Calafiori in Lewis-Skelly’s left-back role.
There have been reports stating Lewis-Skelly could push for a summer exit, but there are chances Arteta will want to plan his development in the way he has done with Ethan Nwaneri. Real Madrid are reportedly interested, and now Atletico Madrid are closely monitoring his situation ahead of the summer.
Atletico Madrid may consider making enquiries for the young defender, with the report pointing to a potential €50 million asking price set by Arsenal. Whether the Spanish giants are prepared to pay as much for the player remains the question, but there are considerable doubts over whether the Gunners will sell.
Arsenal to plan Lewis-Skelly’s future?
Interest from clubs like Atletico Madrid could be a big turning point for Lewis-Skelly if he seeks a permanent exit from Arsenal. Playing under Diego Simeone would be a significant boost for his development, but at the moment, Arteta could be open only to a loan exit, as some English sides are indeed interested.
Arsenal sent Nwaneri to Marseille on loan in January, intending to help the player learn and experience different facets of the game. They could do the same with Lewis-Skelly, and while a €50 million price point could certainly tempt the Gunners into a sale, the chances of clubs like Atletico Madrid paying as much remain slim.
