Manchester United eyeing Eduardo Camavinga as Casemiro replacement

Manchester United have reportedly identified Eduardo Camavinga as the ideal Casemiro replacement ahead of the summer.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are considering a €50 million offer to tempt Real Madrid for Eduardo Camavinga. The Premier League giants view the high-profile Frenchman as the ideal Casemiro replacement, although there is the prospect of facing intense competition in the market as well as Real Madrid’s demands for a much higher asking price.

Manchester United are planning for a huge transfer window in the summer, as they anticipate qualification to next season’s Champions League. Currently sitting third in the Premier League standings, the Red Devils are one of the favourites to finish in the top five, which could lead to another window of massive spending.

Central midfield is of utmost priority for Manchester United, who have already shortlisted four top names ahead of the summer. There is a strong possibility the club will bring in more than one player for their squad, as Casemiro is also departing once the season ends.

Eduardo Camavinga is being mentioned as a suitable Casemiro replacement that Manchester United might consider. The Frenchman has become a rotational option at Real Madrid, with suggestions that the club might consider selling him if an astronomical offer were to arrive.

According to the report, Manchester United is willing to table an offer worth €50 million for the French midfielder, which may not prove sufficient. Real Madrid are expected to demand significantly more, which might then test the intent from the Red Devils with regard to their pursuit of Camavinga.

Real Madrid to Sell Camavinga?

Real Madrid are aware of the growing interest in the market for Camavinga, as a few top-level Premier League clubs are keen. Manchester United’s name has not featured too often, but others have been mentioned quite regularly, while separate reports also stated Real Madrid might even consider selling the Frenchman to Chelsea in exchange for Enzo Fernandez.

However, with Real Madrid already looking for a significant midfield signing in the summer, there could be a case where they consider offers for the Frenchman. Whether Manchester United can test the waters with the reported €50 million proposal remains to be seen, as the Spanish giants are certain to demand significantly more.
