Everton, West Ham United keen on Cesare Casadei

Everton and West Ham are interested in former Chelsea star Cesare Casadei following an impressive season with Torino since his summer move.

According to Sports Boom, Cesare Casadei could be given the chance to make a move back to England, where he previously had underwhelming spells. West Ham United and Everton are the teams keen to bring him back following the young midfielder’s impressive displays for Torino after his summer move from Chelsea.

Cesare Casadei was seen as a big investment in the future when Chelsea shelled out considerably to sign him from Inter Milan. Things did not go to plan in London, as the midfielder barely enjoyed promising spells despite some loan opportunities afforded at Leicester City and Reading.

Chelsea found the opportunity to sell him, and it appears they might have taken a slight loss on their initial investment in the young midfielder. Torino signed him in the summer, and he has been an instant hit for the Turin side.

He has been instrumental in their midfield, with Casadei’s performances helping them in a big way to stay out of the relegation zone. Now, Casadei could have another chance to shine in England, as West Ham and Everton are the teams chasing the midfielder, with Torino reportedly valuing him at €35–40 million.

Such a sale would represent a massive profit for the Serie A side, as they could use those funds to strengthen their squad further next summer. However, the English suitors face competition from the likes of Napoli in Italy, as Casadei could view a move to a big Serie A club as a step up in his career, particularly to become a prominent member of the national side in the near future.

Cesare Casadei to the Premier League?

Casadei could evaluate several offers in the summer, following his impressive season with Torino, which has shown suitors he is far more than what he was at Chelsea. West Ham need a commanding presence in their midfield, and that area would be a priority as the Hammers could invest in a player of the Italian’s profile.

Everton have missed a player of his ilk — one who wins aerial and ground duels — since the departure of Amadou Onana. Casadei has similar traits and could be a big part of the Everton plan moving forward. They could potentially invest heavily in the €35–40 million-rated former Chelsea prodigy as a measure to build for the present and future.
