Liverpool in contact with Moussa Diaby over summer move

Liverpool will reportedly look to sign 26-year-old French international Moussa Diaby from Al-Ittihad in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool are interested in signing Moussa Diaby at the end of the season. The French attacker has been linked with a return to the Premier League in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool can get the deal done. According to Sebastien Vidal, Liverpool have already made contact with the player, and it remains to be seen whether they can bring him back to the club.

The Al-Ittihad attacker will cost €30 million; he could prove to be an excellent acquisition for Liverpool. The Reds need more quality and depth on the flanks, and they need someone who will add cutting edge and flair to the team.

Liverpool have struggled to break down solid defensive units this season. The departure of Luis Diaz has been a big blow for the Merseyside club. They have not been able to replace the Colombian international so far. Additionally, Cody Gakpo has been mediocre, and they will need an upgrade on the Netherlands international in the summer. Signing the French attacker could prove to be a wise decision.

Diaby has shown his quality in the Premier League with Aston Villa in the past. He has been exceptional in France and the Saudi Pro League as well. There is no doubt that he could hit the ground running at Liverpool.

The reported €30 million asking price is reasonable for a player of his quality. He could justify the investment and establish himself as an important player for the Premier League champions. Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play for them will be quite exciting for Diaby.

The Frenchman will want to compete at the highest level during his peak years. There is no doubt that he is good enough to play for any team in Europe, and returning from Saudi Arabia would be ideal for him.

The 26-year-old will look to make his mark in English football once again and establish himself as a key player for Liverpool if the move goes through. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool follow up on their interest with an official proposal to get the deal done. However, recent reports have linked him with other Premier League clubs as well.
