Leeds United are interested in exploring a move for Troy Parrott in the summer, as Daniel Farke wants to add another striker.
According to Sports Boom, Troy Parrott is a target for Leeds United ahead of the summer. The AZ Alkmaar hitman has been sensational this season, with Daniel Farke eyeing a move for the Irish international as he remains keen to add a new striker.
Troy Parrott was once a relative unknown and was considered not good enough while plying his trade at Tottenham. Having left the club in 2024 to join Dutch side AZ Alkmaar, he has since revived his career in a big way. The 24-year-old made headlines during the most recent international break by single-handedly taking the Republic of Ireland to the World Cup play-offs when the odds were stacked against them.
In the aftermath of his performances for Ireland, the striker, regarded as a national hero, became the subject of interest from Premier League clubs. Leeds United were one of those interested in him back then, as Daniel Farke was possibly open to the idea of adding a new striker.
Ahead of the summer, the German boss is expected to make some changes to his frontline, with Joel Piroe likely to leave for a new challenge. Either way, Leeds United are already looking at potential options in the market, with the likes of Jonathan David linked recently.
Farke is also looking at Parrott as a potential option, following the attacker’s season with Alkmaar, where he has 31 goal contributions this season. The Dutch side are reportedly set to demand at least £15–17 million for the Irish striker, which could attract the likes of Leeds United.

The idea of signing the £15–17 million-rated striker would prove efficient for Leeds United, because Farke is looking to add a different option to his existing attacking choices. The likes of Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are different types of strikers, while Parrott could bring a unique profile to the pitch.
The price point for the £15–17 million-rated forward is also reasonable on paper, and Leeds United may need to push the move forward and get it done at the earliest opportunity. West Ham are also interested in the attacker, but any move might depend on their ability to stay up in the Premier League. The Hammers could make a push if they surviive relegation, but at the moment, Leeds United could have the front seat in the chase.
