Fulham, West Ham United in transfer tussle to sign Yunus Musah, ready to pay €20 million

Fulham and West Ham United are interested in USMNT midfielder Yunus Musah, with his AC Milan career winding down rapidly.

According to Milan Live, Yunus Musah is attracting interest from Premier League clubs, as his time at AC Milan could be coming to a close. With his loan spell at Atalanta not working out, Fulham and West Ham United are keen, and they are ready to stump up the money to bring the USMNT international to England. However, they will face competition from Napoli and Besiktas for his signature.

Yunus Musah has recently looked out of place in AC Milan’s plans, with the club deciding to loan him to Atalanta at the start of the season. Things have not worked out in Bergamo either, with his minutes limited and playing time very irregular.

Atalanta have the option to purchase him outright at the end of the season, but at the current rate, they do not seem likely to activate that clause. AC Milan are likely to welcome him back in the summer, but they are open to offers for the American midfielder.

The lack of game time in Bergamo is already affecting Yunus Musah’s chances of making it into Mauricio Pochettino’s USMNT squad for the home World Cup, and a summer move beckons for the midfielder. Milan would reportedly accept offers in the region of €20 million, something a few Premier League sides are ready to pay.

Fulham and West Ham are the teams interested from the Premier League, with a move to England on the cards for Musah. He was part of the Arsenal youth setup before going on to begin his professional career with Valencia and then Milan.

Yunus Musah to the Premier League?

Still only 23, Musah has a long and promising career in front of him, with Fulham and West Ham United representing good options to establish himself in England. The Hammers were keen in the summer and could once again be in the mix, but they might need to avoid relegation to stand a chance of signing a player of his calibre.

Fulham are in a much more secure position and have, over the years, proven their worth as a good team for players to develop. Yunus Musah could see the appeal in joining the west London side over the Hammers, with the Cottagers ready to stump up the fee required to sign the €20 million-rated midfielder. However, Napoli and Besiktas will also be involved in the battle.
