AC Milan eyeing Bosman move for Casemiro

AC Milan are interested in bringing Casemiro to San Siro and reuniting the Brazilian with former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric.

According to Fichajes, AC Milan are eyeing a Bosman move for Manchester United star Casemiro heading into the summer transfer window. The Brazilian is set to depart from Old Trafford once his contract expires, and the Rossoneri dream of reuniting the Brazilian international with his former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric.

Manchester United are set for a midfield revamp in the summer, along with a focus on strengthening other areas of their squad. INEOS are strategically planning their next moves to improve the team in the transfer market, with new midfielders certainly on the horizon, especially now that they are closer to creating space.

Casemiro is set to depart in the summer once his contract ends, with Manchester United having already announced it on their official channels. The decision comes after the club decided against offering the veteran a new deal, as he completes the four-year contract he signed following his £60 million move from Real Madrid in 2022.

Given that Casemiro is still playing at a good level, it is no surprise that he has plenty of suitors, with some showing interest even last summer. Saudi clubs were keen then, while Brazilian sides Flamengo and Palmeiras were also interested.

MLS clubs are also interested in signing Casemiro, with the £60 million Manchester United star now attracting the interest of AC Milan. The Serie A giants are looking for signings that will help them stabilise during a transition period, and the Brazilian international certainly fits the bill.

Casemiro to AC Milan?

AC Milan signed Luka Modric last summer, and the move has largely worked in their favour, with the Croat able to bring some credibility to their midfield. Now, the club are planning to reunite Modric with his former Real Madrid teammate Casemiro, in a move that would be a good decision in the short term, at the very least.

Any deal will depend on whether they can convince Casemiro to stay in Europe and accept the required wages. The Brazilian midfielder is not expected to demand as much as he earned at Manchester United, but he could still receive more elsewhere, such as in Saudi Arabia. However, from a sporting point of view, AC Milan would have a good chance of convincing the Brazilian to make the switch to San Siro on a Bosman move.
