Pep Guardiola pushing Manchester City to sign Vinicius Junior, bid prepared

Pep Guardiola has asked Manchester City to sign Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior ahead of next season.

Vinicius Junior is gearing up for a very important summer in his career, as he needs to decide on whether he wants to continue at Real Madrid or try a new challenge elsewhere. Manchester City are ready to offer him an opportunity to play in the Premier League.

According to a report from Fichajes, Pep Guardiola is pushing the Manchester-based giants to sign the Brazilian international, who is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal at Santiago Bernabeu. While Real Madrid are ready to offer him a lucrative deal, they are not willing to meet his demands.

As things stand, both parties are gearing up for intense negotiations. City seem to be well aware of the situation, and Guardiola wants his club to make the most out of it by luring the Brazilian to Manchester.

Vinicius hasn’t looked back since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 from Flamengo. While the initial years were not that easy for the Brazilian winger, he has worked hard to establish himself as one of the mainstays at the Spanish club and has already helped them win two Champions League titles.

Vinicius’ future might be away from Real Madrid

However, the 25-year-old hasn’t been at his best in recent seasons. He did finish 2nd in the race for the Ballon d’Or in 2024, but of late has been inconsistent, and his relationship with people at the club and the fans has also suffered.

While he remains an integral part of their team, his future has become an interesting talking point because of his contract situation. His deal runs out in 2027, and a new deal is yet to be agreed.

Los Blancos are ready to offer him a new deal, but they are not ready to offer him the terms that he is looking for. They are not going to disrupt their salary policy for the Brazilian international. If both parties fail to reach a common ground and a new deal hasn’t been agreed before the summer, the Spanish giants will open the door for him to leave.

Manchester City to break the bank for Vinicius

Manchester City are the main contenders for his signature, with Guardiola pushing the club to sign him. The Spanish manager believes Vinicius could take them to the next level, and reports in England suggest the Premier League giants have prepared a bid in excess of €100 million for the 25-year-old. They are also willing to offer him a lucrative contract which far exceeds the wages he currently earns.

City’s intentions are clear, they want to sabotage renewal talks, put pressure on Real Madrid’s board and lure Vinicius to the English top flight. Vinicius certainly has a massive decision to make regarding his future, and it will be interesting to see how things develop over the next few months.
