Arsenal plotting move for Ousmane Dembele

Arsenal could angle a move for Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele ahead of the summer following uncertainties in the PSG dressing room.

Ousmane Dembele could emerge as a target for Arsenal ahead of the summer, as per Fichajes. Mikel Arteta’s need for a dynamic attacker with individual brilliance could lead him towards the Ballon d’Or, amid uncertainties in the PSG dressing room, as per the latest reports.

Ousmane Dembélé has come a long way from being a promising talent to an injury-prone-inconsistent start to Ballon d’Or winner. The French forward is at the top of his game over the last year or so, which saw him help PSG win the Treble as well as lift the highest possible individual accolade available in the world of football at the moment.

The 28-year-old PSG star also caused plenty of drama headlines last weekend, after criticising some of his teammates without taking their names in the media. Dembele’s comments on some of his colleagues wanting to shine individually rather than play for the team have sparked rumours that all is not well behind the scenes in the PSG dressing room.

Manager Luis Enrique was quick to try and defuse the fire, but the media has picked up some sparks in the dressing room, which will lead to fresh speculation. That may have already begun, as Arsenal are now linked with a move for the Ballon d’Or winner Dembele ahead of the summer.

Mikel Arteta could look for a dynamic and versatile attacker with individual brilliance and flair to take his Arsenal side to the next level. The Gunners had previous links to the 28-year-old PSG star, but with the rumours of discontent over at the Parisians, they might view this as a big opportunity to approach.

Ousmane Dembele to PSG?

A few years back, Arsenal’s links to players of the quality and calibre of Dembele would have been laughed off, but this is a different north London side. The Gunners are in a brilliant position to attract the best players on the planet, as seen with their links to some top names in the market, such as Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez.

With Gabriel Jesus being linked with a move away in the summer, there’s the perfect space for a player like the 28-year-old PSG star to come in and make his mark. However, should Arsenal push ahead with their rumoured interest, it will be a challenging deal to execute for them, given PSG’s demands are set to be higher, while Dembele is expected to demand a top-bracket wage package.
