Tottenham interested in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Everton unwilling to sell

Tottenham are keen on acquiring the services of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but Everton have no intentions of selling him.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been one of the standout performers for Everton in the ongoing campaign. His impressive work hasn’t gone unnoticed. Quite a few top clubs want him, and according to Mick Brown via Football Insider, Tottenham are one of the clubs that are interested in him.

But they will struggle to strike a deal with the Toffees, who consider him an integral part of their plans and have no intentions of sanctioning his departure any time soon. They are planning to dismiss any approaches for the 27-year-old in the next summer transfer window.

Dewsbury-Hall made quite a name for himself with his impressive performances for Leicester City back in the day. Enzo Maresca was quite pleased with him and ended up taking him to Chelsea in the summer of 2024. Unfortunately, the move didn’t work out for him, as he failed to establish himself as a key part of Maresca’s plans at his new club.

After a year full of struggles, he ended up making the move to Everton last summer. The decision to join the Merseyside club has certainly worked out in his favour, as David Moyes has managed to help him return to his best.

While the 27-year-old prefers playing as a number eight, Dewsbury-Hall’s majority of appearances this season have come in the number ten role. In his 19 league outings, he has five goals and four assists. His performances have resulted in interest from Tottenham.

Brown’s take on Dewsbury-Hall’s future

While talking about his future, Brown said, “Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has done an outstanding job at Everton,”

“He was a player I liked when I first saw him play, and I’m not surprised he’s been a success under David Moyes because he brings something new to that team.

“They’ve got a lot of solid and reliable players, but he’s got this ability to run and drive with the ball which not many others in that team have got.

“It takes the pressure off the rest of the team and gives them something else going forward.

“So that’s why the interest is there, Tottenham have been looking at him, for example.

“They want that type of player and feel he would fit the profile if he was available, the problem is I don’t think he’s going to be available.

“Dewsbury-Hall is such an important player for Everton, especially if they’re going to lose Jack Grealish, and it would take a lot for them to let him go.

“I don’t think it’s something they’re going to consider because they’re not in a position where they might have to sell, it’s not like they’re in relegation trouble.

“They’ll be doing everything in their power to keep him at the club.”

Tottenham want to sign Dewsbury-Hall

The North London club are looking to revive their midfield going forward. They seek more quality and feel that Dewsbury-Hall is the one who could help their cause. Spurs have been keeping tabs on him for months. With James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski struggling to stay fit, the former Leicester star could be an ideal fit for their project.

However, they will struggle to strike a deal with Everton, who have no intentions of negotiating his departure. The Toffees are set to block a potential exit, and they are doing everything in their power to ensure he continues at Hill Dickinson Stadium for the years to come.

Multiple top clubs want him, but it seems Everton have already made a decision regarding his future. They are looking to have him as a key part of their setup for years to come.
