AC Milan are ready to explore a move for experienced Arsenal attacker Gabriel Jesus as they analyse the market for a new striker.
According to Fichajes, Gabriel Jesus is still on AC Milan’s shortlist ahead of the summer, following rumblings of a loan approach back in January. The Rossoneri are prepared to improve their attacking options with a new centre-forward, as the Arsenal man could offer them a prestigious option while others are being considered.
AC Milan had a mixed January market, as they were focused on improving their attacking setup. The Rossoneri managed to bring in West Ham flop Niclas Fullkrug but failed in a late move for Jean-Philippe Mateta after the Frenchman failed his medical tests.
A new striker remains on the agenda for the club heading into the summer window, as they are analysing the market for a viable option that would improve their squad. Dusan Vlahovic remains a target, with the Serbian set to leave Juventus on a free transfer when his contract expires, while Fiorentina’s Moise Kean is also high on their list.
The more prestigious option and probably an achievable one is Gabriel Jesus, with the Brazilian set to enter the final year of his deal at Arsenal. Juventus are also interested in the experienced South American star, as they too are considering options up front, while Atletico Madrid are also named as a suitor.
Milan were keen in January to take Jesus on loan, but the wages then were an issue, which might come to bite them when they approach in the summer. It remains to be seen how serious the Rossoneri are about the experienced South American star, although he could be a great signing for where their project is at the moment.
Arsenal ready to sell Gabriel Jesus?
Arsenal are contemplating some major plans to improve their squad ahead of the summer, and that could involve adding a new forward at the expense of an existing one. In the current circumstances, Jesus is probably the one they could cash in on. There were some rumours of a new contract for the Brazilian, but given his injury record and inconsistent form, the Gunners could consider offers.
There are recent links to the likes of Junior Kroupi or Julian Alvarez as examples, which probably point to Jesus as the player to make way. It remains to be seen that if the experienced South American star leaves, AC Milan can get a deal done, as the Brazilian will have other options on the table.
