Liverpool set asking price for Federico Chiesa

Liverpool have set a €25-30 million asking price to sell Federico Chiesa, with a host of Italian sides keen to bring him back to Serie A.

According to Caught Offside, Federico Chiesa is expected to leave in the summer, with Liverpool setting a €25-30 million price point for the attacker. A host of Italian sides are showing big interest in the winger, including Juventus, Napoli and AS Roma.

Federico Cheisa has not had a good time since moving to Liverpool in the summer of 2024, as his career has taken a backstep. Despite being the only signing that Arne Slot made ahead of his first season in charge, the Italian was a modest part in a title-winning campaign.

He has barely featured under Slot despite showing glimpses of his talents when given the chance, but he has found game time hard to come by. A departure from Liverpool was mooted ahead of the January window, with a host of Serie A options opening up for the 28-year-old Italian.

Ahead of the summer, Liverpool are expected to allow Chiesa a departure away from the club, and demand €25-30 million to sell the Italian. Juventus were plotting a late move in January, but they could retain an interest ahead of the summer if a decent opportunity comes about.

However, the renewal of Kenan Yildiz could potentially alter their ideas on Chiesa, but they are not alone in the mix. Chiesa was reportedly open to re-joining Juventus, but he could have more options on the table if any of those interested clubs from Italy were willing to pay €25-30 million for the attacker.

Chiesa to make Serie A return?

Napoli and AS Roma were also showing interest ahead of January, as the report states the Serie A duo could retain an interest in the attacker. The Liverpool first-team attacker could be a good addition for the quality of Serie A, as a route back to Italy seems like the option for Chiesa to consider, as he has struggled to match the pace of the Premier League.

The report also states, he would be willing to take a pay cut to facilitate a return to Serie A. That would be a massive boost for the likes of Juventus, AS Roma and Napoli to stay alert in his pursuit, as Chiesa seems destined to leave Liverpool in the summer.
