Bournemouth lining up €40 million move for Brahim Diaz

Bournemouth will reportedly look to sign 26-year-old Moroccan international Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid in a deal worth €40 million in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Brahim Diaz is the subject of interest from Bournemouth. The Cherries are keen on reinforcing their offensive unit by signing a versatile playmaker in the summer transfer window. So, the 26-year-old Real Madrid attacker has emerged as a target for the Premier League clubs.

The Cherries are ready to submit a bid worth €40 million to sign the Malaga-born playmaker in the summer transfer window. After selling Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City last month, Bournemouth’s budget has increased, allowing them to afford a deal for the Real Madrid attacker later this year.

How has Brahim Diaz fared at Real Madrid?

Brahim Diaz has been in and out of the starting lineup since joining Real Madrid from Manchester City in January 2019. While the Moroccan international has made significant progress in the last six and a half years, he has yet to establish himself as an undisputed starter for Los Blancos.

The 26-year-old found a stable footing during his loan spell with AC Milan, spending three years with the Rossoneri. Since then, Diaz has been in and out of the starting lineup at Real Madrid, and he has managed only 600 minutes of game time in 22 appearances thus far in the 2025/26 season. Nevertheless, his stock is high, with Bournemouth among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

Premier League return on the horizon?

Bournemouth’s interest in Brahim Diaz is understandable. The Cherries are scouring the market for a versatile playmaker heading into the summer transfer window, as Andoni Iraola wants more firepower in the final third. While several players can reprise the no. 10 role in the Bournemouth attack, Diaz will boost Iraola’s options significantly.

Bournemouth also showed interest in Ethan Nwaneri in the winter transfer window, and Diaz is a solid alternative to the Arsenal wonderkid. The latest report has revealed that they are ready to offer €40 million to sign the former Manchester City prospect from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

However, other Premier League clubs have also shown interest in Diaz, while widespread reports have constantly linked the Real Madrid playmaker with AC Milan. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the 26-year-old Moroccan playmaker amid Bournemouth’s desire to seal a deal worth €40 million this summer.
