Manchester City attacking sensation Justin Oboavwoduo is reportedly all set to join Serie A giants Juventus, as a deal has been agreed.
The biggest clubs in Europe are constantly on the lookout for young players with massive potential. They want to snap up the best talent before multiple top clubs enter into a bidding war.
Juventus seem to have done exactly as they have agreed a deal with Manchester City to sign their attacking sensation, Justin Oboavwoduo, as per a report from reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Oboavwoduo has been a part of the Manchester City setup since his childhood days. The youngster joined their academy as an eight-year-old, and he has come up the ranks at a pace. At the age of 19, he is currently a part of their Under-21 team.
The English youth international has been involved in a total of 50 matches for the Under-21s, and he has contributed towards 24 goals. His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. Despite his sensational work at the youth level, Pep Guardiola has yet to hand him his professional debut.
As a result, multiple top clubs have been looking to prise the 19-year-old striker away from the Manchester-based club. Even the teenage attacking prospect seems interested in a move away, as he wants to play regular first-team football.
Juventus have struck a deal for Oboavwoduo
Juventus were keen on signing the teenager, and they have agreed terms with Manchester City for the 2006-born talent. The Serie A heavyweights have been keeping tabs on Oboavwoduo for some time. They feel he could become one of their mainstays in the long run.
As a result, the Turin-based outfit have decided to invest in him. While he prefers playing as a striker, the 19-year-old is comfortable enough to feature anywhere in attack. Juventus believe in his potential, and they seem to have promised him a quicker route to their first team.
For now, the teenage prospect will start with their Under-23 project, but given his massive potential, it won’t be much of a surprise if he ends up playing first-team football before the end of the year.
