Juventus keen on Randal Kolo Muani move

Juventus are surprisingly interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani despite walking away from a deal for the Frenchman last summer.

According to Sky Sports, Juventus have asked about the possibility of signing Randal Kolo Muani this month as they seek a new striker. Tottenhama re reluctant to lose any of their first team members at the moment, including the Frenchman, while Juventus’ relations with parent club PSG remained strained in relation to a previous deal for the attacker.

Juventus have asked about the possibility of re-signing Randal Kolo Muani before the closure of the January window. The attacker is currently on loan at Tottenham for the remainder of the season and has been a key member of Thomas Frank’s squad, which does make a deal difficult for the Italian giants.

Interestingly, Juventus signed Kolo Muani on loan last January, but failed to agree on a deal with PSG in the summer over a permanent move. The Bianconeri pulled out of the move after disagreements with the French giants over the terms of a sale, which has reportedly strained the relationships between the two clubs.

Juventus have been keen on landing a new striker this month, and have been linked with several players. Over the past few days, they have cooled their interest in Jean-Philippe Mateta, while they have reportedly been unsuccessful in their efforts to bring Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri in the last few days.

Fabrizio Romano stated that the failure to land En-Nesyri is the reason they have contacted regarding Kolo Muani. Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is also a target, but there are many challenges in luring the Brazilian this month, as they are now set to make another attempt over Kolo Muani.

Toittenham to let Randal Kolo Muani leave?

Tottenham are unlikely to let Kolo Muani leave, as is their stance with most of their first-team stars. The report states that should there be a late call on the Tottenham summer signing, it might come after the Champions League game, depending on how Spurs qualify for the next stage.

More importantly, Tottenham will also need a replacement for the summer signing should he depart late in the window. Incidentally, Spurs were linked with Mateta of late, but the Frenchman seems closer to making the move to Nottingham Forest. On Kolo Muani, Spurs are unlikely to sanction a departure for the Frenchman in this crucial stage of the season, which would only weaken their ranks.
