Thomas Frank’s Tottenham Hotspur are set to revive their interest in Newcastle United midfield target Morgan Gibbs-White.
Nottingham Forest will struggle to keep hold of Morgan Gibbs-White for long, as multiple top clubs are very keen on signing the English international. According to a report from TEAMtalk, long-term admirers Tottenham are set to rekindle their interest in him, while Newcastle United are also keeping tabs on his situation.
Gibbs-White initially made a name for himself while playing for Wolves. He ended up joining the Tricky Trees in the summer of 2022 and hasn’t looked back since.
Not only has he established himself as one of their mainstays, but he is also widely regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in England. He has been one of the standout performers for Nottingham over the last few seasons.
While the Tricky Trees have struggled in the ongoing campaign, the 25-year-old has still managed to put in consistent performances. He was on the verge of leaving Nottingham last summer, as Tottenham were ready to trigger his release clause.
However, Nottingham managed to convince him to continue at the club and handed him a new long-term deal until 2028. While there is a lot of time left on his new contract, the English international could be gone by next summer.
He remains an integral part of their plans, but a sizeable offer could force them to rethink their stance, given the kind of financial pressure they are under. With the club struggling on the pitch, keeping hold of him becomes increasingly difficult.

Tottenham remain keen on Gibbs-White
Tottenham, who have had him on their wishlist for a long time, are set to revive their interest. They will pounce on any opportunity to sign the 25-year-old. Even if Thomas Frank ends up getting sacked, they would still go all out to sign him next summer.
They consider him an ideal fit for their system. Not only can he compete with James Maddison and Xavi Simons for the number ten role, but Gibbs-White can also feature out wide as well. However, signing him won’t be that straightforward, as other top clubs will rival them.
Newcastle are one of the clubs that are quite keen on his signature. They are well aware of his situation and are keeping tabs on him. If he becomes available, the Magpies will certainly look to strengthen their midfield by signing the former Wolves star.
