Como, Fiorentina register interest in Everton striker Beto

Como and Fiorentina are reportedly keen on signing 27-year-old Guinea-Bissau international Beto from Everton in the winter transfer window.

According to a report by Football Insider, Como and Fiorentina are interested in Beto. The two Serie A clubs are keen on reinforcing their offensive units by signing a striker in the winter transfer window. So, the 27-year-old Everton centre-forward has emerged as a target for the Italian clubs.

Como and Fiorentina have already expressed their interest in the Lisbon-born striker, and they will attempt to secure his services in the winter transfer window. Meanwhile, Everton will be open to cashing in on the former Udinese attacker this month, as they are also scouring the market for a new centre-forward.

How has Beto fared at Everton?

Beto has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Everton from Udinese in a deal worth €30 million in August 2023. The Lisbon native spent his formative years in Portugal, passing through the academies at Oeiras and SL Benfica while embarking on three spells with URD Tires, the club where he turned professional nearly a decade ago.

As for his stint with Everton, the player was in and out of the starting lineup in his first 18 months at Goodison Park before becoming a regular under David Moyes. However, the Guinea-Bissau international has struggled in the 2025/26 season, scoring only three goals in 25 outings thus far. Nevertheless, the 27-year-old attacker’s stock is high, with Como and Fiorentina among the prospective suitors vying for his signature in the winter transfer window.

Serie A return on the cards?

Recent reports have linked Beto with AS Roma, and he has now emerged as a target for other Serie A clubs. Como’s interest in the Everton striker is understandable, as Cesc Fabregas wants more firepower in the final third to secure European qualification in the second half of the 2025/26 season.

As for Fiorentina, La Viola will be busy in the final days of the winter transfer window as they attempt to stave off relegation in the second half of the 2025/26 season. Additionally, amid Aston Villa’s links with Moise Kean, the Serie A club will aim to sign a striker to prepare for the Italian striker’s departure.
