Manchester United, Tottenham want Felix Nmecha, price revealed

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing 25-year-old German international Felix Nmecha from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report by German outlet BILD, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Felix Nmecha. The two Premier League clubs are eager to reinforce their first-team squads by signing a versatile midfielder in the summer transfer window. So, the Borussia Dortmund star has emerged as a target for them.

However, signing the Borussia Dortmund midfielder will not be straightforward for Manchester United, as the Bundesliga giants are not interested in parting ways with him. Additionally, the Black and Yellows have slapped a price tag of €60 million on Nmecha to thwart Manchester United and Tottenham.

How has Felix Nmecha fared in his Bundesliga journey?

Felix Nmecha has made significant progress since joining Borussia Dortmund from VfL Wolfsburg in July 2023. While the 25-year-old was born in Germany, he spent his formative years in England and graduated from the revered youth division at Manchester City. However, he has risen in prominence since returning to Germany.

The German international has made nearly 100 appearances for Borussia Dortmund thus far while chipping in with 13 goals and eight assists. Meanwhile, Nmecha’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of several high-profile clubs. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.

England return on the cards?

Felix Nmecha has been on Manchester United’s wishlist for a long time. The continued interest is understandable, as Casemiro faces an uncertain future after entering the final six months of his contract. Additionally, Manuel Ugarte may leave Manchester United after struggling to make his mark in the last 18 months. Several candidates have thus emerged as targets, with Nmecha also an option worth considering.

As for Tottenham Hotspur, the Lilywhites have signed Conor Gallagher this month. However, Yves Bissouma has no future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while recent reports have suggested that the North London club may not trigger the purchase option to keep Joao Palhinha beyond the 2025/26 season. So, Nmecha has emerged as a viable target for them.

It will be interesting to see if they are ready to pay €60 million to sign the 25-year-old German international.
