Federico Dimarco open to Arsenal switch if he leaves Inter Milan

Federico Dimarco is reportedly open to taking up a challenge in England amid Arsenal’s interest in the Inter Milan star.

According to Fichajes, Federico Dimarco could be open to the idea of playing in the Premier League, as Arsenal are reportedly interested. The Inter Milan star is a force for the Italian side on the left wing, while his attacking prowess and physicality are something that Mikel Arteta is keen on.

Federico Dimarco is considered one of the best wing-backs in the game, following some accomplished performances for Inter Milan over the years. In the system the Nerazzuri play, he is the perfect player for them in the sense of bringing some attacking prowess into the game.

Dimarco’s contract with Inter Milan expires in 2027, but the club are already preparing a new deal until 2029 with a significant pay rise to continue their association with the player. Currently, the Italian international is rated at €50 million, but should he enter the summer without signing a new deal, he could be sold for much less.

Manchester United were interested when Ruben Amorim was in charge, although the Portuguese manager’s departure could have caused a change of system at Old Trafford. That alone may see the Red Devils move away from this pursuit, although Arsenal are keen.

Arsenal are interested in Dimarco, as Mikel Arteta likes the €50 million-rated Serie A wide man’s physical aspects as well as his attacking prowess. The Italian international is not seen as a serious target, but should an opportunity arise, the Gunners might make their play.

Arsenal to sign Federico Dimarco?

Arsenal have reportedly initiated contact with the player’s camp to gauge his interest in moving to England, and it appears Dimarco could be open to the idea. From a sporting side, the Gunners do not need a player of his style in the team, given there are some doubts over his defensive capabilities despite being seen as a full-back in some circles.

Inter Milan are likely to push their efforts to keep hold of the €50 million-rated Serie A wide man, although the lure of the Premier League might tempt Dimarco. For now, there’s some level of interest from Arsenal, although he’s not seen as a player of immediate need for Arteta’s squad. Still, the summer window will make it clear if they are serious about the Italian international.
