Tottenham preparing to offer €50 million for Oscar Bobb

Tottenham, West Ham United in transfer tussle to sign Mateo Pellegrino.

Thomas Frank’s Tottenham are preparing a €50 million offer to sign Manchester City attacking sensation Oscar Bobb.

Oscar Bobb’s future has been a massive talking point over the last few weeks. He is frustrated by the lack of minutes, and with things unlikely to improve in the second half, the Norwegian international is looking to push for a move away from the club.

Multiple top clubs are keeping tabs on his situation and would love to add him to their squad. Tottenham are one of those clubs that are very keen on his signature. According to a report from Fichajes, the North London club are ready to table a €50 million offer to sign 22-year-old right-winger.

Bobb joined City’s youth setup back in 2019. He went up the ranks at some pace and got promoted to the first team in the summer of 2023. While he is quite highly rated by people at the club, the Norwegian sensation hasn’t had regular game time under Pep Guardiola.

In the ongoing campaign, he has been involved in 15 matches but has racked up just 739 minutes. The 22-year-old is not pleased with his role, and following the arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, he has gone further down the pecking order.

While his contract runs until the summer of 2029, Bobb is ready to part ways with City. While Guardiola’s team are in no rush to sanction his departure, they certainly won’t want to keep him in their ranks against his wish. If a substantial financial offer arrives, they will green-light his departure.

Tottenham are working hard to land Bobb

Multiple top clubs have been keeping tabs on him, but it seems Tottenham are pushing hard to beat the competition. The North London club seek more quality in the final third after a disappointing first half, and they consider Bobb an ideal fit for their system as well as their project.

Not only is he young, but the 22-year-old also has a profile that is very different to the ones Thomas Frank already has at his disposal. His ability to play between the lines and the ease with which he links up with others stand out.

Given his situation at City, Spurs are looking to make the most out of it. They are ready to fork out €50 million as they believe he can have an immediate impact and could become one of their mainstays in the long run. Meanwhile, such a massive offer will certainly tempt the Manchester-based giants to cash in on the youngster, who is struggling to get minutes.
