Real Madrid are looking to bring former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City star Erling Haaland to the Bernabeu next summer.
Real Madrid are going through one of their most difficult phases in recent years. Following their defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final, Xabi Alonso parted ways with the club, and Alvaro Arbeloa has been handed the reins.
But he has had the worst possible start to his tenure, as they have been knocked out of the Copa del Rey by a struggling second division outfit, Albacete. Given how things are panning out, Florentino Perez has been forced to make massive plans for next summer.
Real Madrid have big plans for the summer
According to a report from Fichajes, the Real Madrid president wants to bring Jurgen Klopp and Erling Haaland to the club next summer. He considers the former Liverpool boss to be the ideal man to lead their new project, and Haaland could be the missing piece in his star-studded team.
While Arbeloa could hand the role on a permanent basis if he does well this season, he is seen more as a transitional option. Their priority is to bring in Jurgen Klopp to take charge starting next summer. He is currently on a break after his successful stint with Liverpool in England, and Los Blancos see him as a perfect fit for their project, given his experience and man-management abilities.
Los Blancos want Klopp and Haaland
They believe he has it in him to take charge of the dressing room and get them back to their best by maximising the potential of their squad. Apart from Klopp, the Spanish giants are also looking to make another blockbuster signing next summer; they want to sign City’s star striker Haaland.
He is certainly the best striker on the planet at this point, and Real Madrid are confident he could help them re-establish themselves as the most potent team in the world. Perez dreams of pairing Kylian Mbappe with Haaland, and he wants to make it happen ahead of next season.
While they are aware that it would require a massive financial investment to get him out of City, they feel their current situation demands such a move. They feel bringing him to the club could go a long way in helping them get back to the top.
