Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace are closing in on the signature of Angers SCO teenage attacking sensation Sidiki Cherif.
Sidiki Cherif could soon be playing in the Premier League, as Crystal Palace are on the verge of securing his services. According to a report from Sky Sports, the Eagles are in talks with Ligue 1 outfit Angers SCO to sign the teenager, and as per Fabrice Hawkins, the South London outfit already have the green light from the player’s end.
Cherif has come up the ranks at Angers. He got promoted to their first team in the summer of 2023 and has not looked back since. The youngster has gone from strength to strength over the last few seasons, and he has established himself as a key figure in their team.
In the ongoing campaign, the 19-year-old forward has featured in 17 league games and has bagged four goals. While Sidiki Cherif prefers playing up top, he is equally effective out wide on the flanks. His impressive rise and massive potential have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs.
