Liverpool sounded out over Vanderson move

Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Brazilian full-back Vanderson from AS Monaco in the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool recently suffered a massive blow as Conor Bradley picked up a serious knee injury. While it is not a ligament tear, he is set to undergo surgery and has been ruled out of the remainder of the season.

With Giovanni Leoni already sidelined for the season, the Reds now look short of options at the back. As a result, they could look at the market to add more depth and quality to Arne Slot’s team. According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Merseyside club have already been offered the chance to sign Brazilian right-back Vanderson.

The 24-year-old came up the ranks at Gremio and made a name for himself while playing for their first team before joining AS Monaco at the start of 2022. Vanderson has only gone from strength to strength since moving to France.

While the South American full-back remains an integral part of their team and still has well over two years left on his deal, he is keen on parting ways with the club. The Brazilian international wants to join a bigger club and is open to a move to the Premier League.

Liverpool could sign a new right-back

Vanderson’s representatives, as well as intermediaries, are already working hard to find him a new club in the ongoing transfer window. They have reached out to Liverpool to inform them about his availability.

While the Reds are short of options at the back and Conor Bradley’s injury is a massive blow, they are not in a panic state and will only make a signing if he perfectly fits into their long-term plans. They are not looking for a short-term fix as they already have Wataru Endo and Calvin Ramsay to support Jeremie Frimpong at right-back.

Vanderson is open to a move to the Premier League, and he could prove to be a valuable addition to the Reds’ first team at this point. However, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool actually want to invest in the 24-year-old Brazilian international, as they have other targets who have been on their wishlist for a long time.
