Tottenham Hotspur have put forward a €60 million offer to sign Real Madrid attacking sensation Brahim Diaz.
Brahim Diaz has been on fire for Morocco in the ongoing African Cup of Nations. The Real Madrid star forward has scored in all their games so far, helping them book a place in the semi-finals. He is the leading goal scorer in the tournament, and his performances have certainly attracted a lot of interest.
While he hasn’t had enough game time at the Spanish club this season, he has certainly displayed his talent at the AFCON, and multiple top clubs now want to prise him away from Los Blancos. According to a report from Fichajes, Tottenham have already submitted a €60 million offer to sign the 26-year-old winger.
Diaz made a name for himself during his loan spell at AC Milan, and he has been an important part of the Real Madrid setup since returning to the club in the summer of 2023. Despite not being a regular starter, he certainly had a very important role under Carlo Ancelotti.
However, that hasn’t been the case under Xabi Alonso this season. He has only racked up 484 minutes of first-team action across his 18 appearances. The lack of game time has resulted in a lot of talk about his future.
Tottenham are pushing hard to sign Diaz
Given the kind of form he has been in at the AFCON, top clubs are ready to break the bank for him. Tottenham, who haven’t had the best of first halves under Thomas Frank, are desperate for more firepower.
They consider Diaz a perfect fit for their team. Not only will he add more quality on the flanks, but he can also even feature in the number ten role. The 26-year-old will add goals as well as creativity to the mix.
The North London club have already tabled a €60 million bid to sign the Moroccan international. Real Madrid do value him very highly, but the massive financial offer will certainly tempt them. Given his role under Alonso, they could seriously look to cash in on him.
While there are other top clubs that have been linked with him, Tottenham are the most serious suitors at this stage, and it is quite clear, given the offer they have put forward. It will be interesting to see how things develop and what stance Real Madrid take on his future.
