Aston Villa make enquiry for Tammy Abraham, receive green light

Aston Villa have enquired to sign Tammy Abraham this month, with a deal set to be made possible with Besiktas open to the idea.

According to Fanatik, Tammy Abraham has emerged as a target for Aston Villa this month, with the Premier League side enquiring about the striker. The Englishman is having a good enough season over at Besiktas on loan, with the Turkish side open to the idea of a deal with the English side.

Tammy Abraham had found it tough going in Serie A ever since his cruciate injury, as he also spent a season on loan with AC Milan. Roma signed him a few years ago when he was an emerging big-name striker in England, but his stock have considerably dropped since.

His Roma deal expires in 2027, as the Italian side allowed him to join Besiktas on loan with a buy obligation at the end of it. Abraham could be considered a permanent player for the Turkish giants, although his stay there could be short-lived, as he could be on the move this month.

Aston Villa are interested in Abraham as Unai Emery continues to look for a new striker this month to strengthen his attacking setup. The Birmingham giants are eager to bring in some attackers in the window, as they are also interested in Atletico Madrid’s Thiago Almada, to improve other areas of the final third to help them through the second part of the season.

Villa were also keen on Omar Marmoush as a target, but there are obvious challenges in luring the Egyptian this month from Manchester City. As for Abraham, there might be a deal to be done, as Asottn Villa may have received positive signs in their pursuit of the former Chelsea striker, with 15 goals and assists this season with Besiktas.

Are Besiktas ready to sell Tammy Abraham?

Besiktas value the contributions of the 15 G/A former Chelsea star this season, but the report states, the Turkish side could be open to selling him this month. It may also depend on the kind of offer Aston Villa are willing to make to get a deal in place, as the Turkish side might consider making a healthy profit on the investment.

They may have to trigger the buy obligation in his deal with Roma, and then finalise a sale. Abraham has only featured for one club this term, which also makes him eligible to play for Aston Villa if they were to consider making a bid for the striker this month.
